Somebody claims to have developed a new reversible heat-engine cycle
that has th same theorotical efficiency as the Carnot Cycle operating
between the same temperature limits. is this a reasonable claim?
explain.
asap.im overdue. tnx

You'd have to provide a link or a citation so that others can know
enough to understand what's being claimed.

It's reasonable for both reservoirs being the same temperature, or if
infinitely-stiff materials are available, or if Maxwellian Demons are
used.

Infinitely-stiff materials are rarely available these days contrary to
what is implied by the Cialis commercials. The reason he has that
stupid smile on his face is because he just saved a ton of money on car
insurance.
Maxwellian Demons, on the other hand, are a dime a dozen. I picked up
a couple of them at a garage sale. Been feeding them pecans and
grapefruits all week, but they still won't do any useful work, all they
do is post to Usenet using my account.
