Hg atom properties |
Does anyone have a lay man's online reference (.pdf or .html) with
spectroscopic details for the Mercury atom? I am not a Physicist, so the
simpler the better. Things like transitions for most lines on visible and
UVA/UVB/UVC, electron states, emission wavelength cross-references, energies
in eV, etc, the works.
I can find line references on NIST and transition states for the 253.7nm
line, but that's just about it. I am looking for a self-contained and simple
exposition of most of the transitions of the Hg atom.
Thanks much,

The CRC Handbook has am exhaustive listing of element emission lines
and their relative intensities. Also ask any major manufacturer of
high efficiency fluorescent lights, especially for single isotope
data.
