How far does blood spray? |
Hi there, I am a student in an animal physiology course and I am
wondering if anyone can help me... I am trying to "debunk" the movie
Kill Bill, specifically the nonsensical blood flow depicted when Uma
cuts the limbs off of the Crazy 88 gang members.. I am having a
diffifcult time trying to figure out how to calculate how far blood
would actually squirt when a limb is severed.. Some people have said to
use Bernoulli's equation but this doesnt have a distance component from
what I understand.. and when I used the simplistic distance equation my
number was too low (12cm). This is assuming the blood flow from a major
artery. If anyone can point me in the right direction or give me an
idea of how to do these calculations it would be greatly appreciated...
