Object: ionisation
Ionisation is an atom losing or gaining an electron.(+) or (-)
Do molecules do this?

Sure, why not.

ionisation is losing of an electron fom the outer most shell. the
energy required to take an electron out of the outermost shell known as
the "VALENCE SHELL" is known as ionisation energy.
molecules don't contain electrons in them directly.
actually electrons are present in orbitals which are part of
subdivisions of an atom itself.

You can also add an electron to an atom, not just remove one.

molecules don't contain electrons in them directly.

Of course they do.

yes,i never said electrons don't add up. i only mentioned the case of
cations.

Mass spectrometry. The whole of transition metal chemistry.
Electrochemistry. Electroluminescent panels. Little things like
that.

If an atom stops being an ion, is that called unionisation?

I got it but I didn't like it, which I showed.
