Here, the solar heat stored at a depth of about one metre
is used. A non-toxic liquid circulates in a buried hose.
The temperature of the liquid is raised a few degrees by
the heat in the surrounding soil. By compression in the
heat pump, the temperature of the liquid is raised and
the heat is transferred to your radiators.
This thermal energy can also be used to heat the domestic
hot water.
The hose normally requires a plot of land 250 - 400
square metres in area. IVT surface soil heat is in use by
ten thousand satisfied home owners throughout Sweden.
Skilled diggers and installers ensure that disturbance to
the site is minimal. Using the surface soil heat does not
affect the vegetationl. Using the surface soil heat does
not affect the vegetation.
