With Newton's third law we can utilize the similar economic orders of
form that are common to stable frames of reference in general, and
assign a mass to the planets and sun, based on a time-distance
proportionality measured against the kinematics of mass motion at the
local frame, increasing the local inertial mass magnitude
proportionally, and applying it to the sun or planets etc.
So essentially what we are doing is making a determination of
otherwise unknown stable system mass magnitudes, based on the time
distance characteristics of mass and force taken at the terrestrial
frame.
Consider: A balance scale functionality arises from the same principle
as the equivalence of free fall acceleration across mass magnitudes.
If inertial objects did not accelerate at the same rate during free
fall, we could not use a balance scale (which is a minor limitation
compared to the actual condition that would exist in such a case.).
The equivalence of free fall across mass magnitudes also allows us to
place any manageable inertial mass magnitude into any local orbit,
with consideration for the value of [r] and [v] and the free fall
component of {a}, none of which involve the magnitude of the mass
itself. (The force required for us to overcome the pull at surface
Earth, naturally varies according to the relative masses of the local
objects.) An object's mass is not relevant to its orbital
path, once in place, for the same reason it is not relevant to its
rate of free fall.
If we could determine the mass of an unknown object, from its
orbital trajectory alone... there could be no free fall equivalence
across mass magnitudes at surface Earth. So, the idea for equal and
opposite gravitational forces appears to be invalid as a
matter of physical principle.

If the words I use to describe physical processes differ from
"standard terminology", it is most often due to the fact that standard
terminology carries with it, too many undefined and often
unrecognized, assumptions.
The repuglicans wasted some 4 years worrying about Bill Clinton's
penis. What made you think they could run the country?
