Looking for physicists / scientists / hobbyists interested in blogging. |
We're looking for 30 or so scientists or science hobbyists interested
in blogging at a science-oriented blog and news site. You will be
provided with free hosting and subdomain (yourname.opensci.net) with
the only caveat being that you blog about primarily happenings in your
lab or field of research / interest. Personal blogs are permitted but
will not be on the main page of your blog.
If you blog already this is a good opportunity to move over to a
science only blog server for free. There will be no banner ads on your
page and you can customize your blog entirely as you see fit (we use
wordpress as our backend). The only requirement is that you have a
single text link on your navigation panel back to the root domain you
are hosted on.
The purpose of our project is to bring together science blogs from a
variety of fields and aggregate them onto a single page which features
science news / blogs from various fields / and newsgroup & forum
discussions. If you're interested or have any questions about this
project, please contact us at blog@opensci.net. Thanks for your time.

I have a pet project to do someday and if you allow it to be domain
posted I might consider the project a little faster.
I am trying to make a passive counterrotating propeller to increase the
main propellor's efficiency.
My problem is the 5K outlay for the trial expenses. If I do radio
control models, it would only be 0.5K, would that be ok?
And the big hurdle is testing the efficiency of the model.
A small gps recorder in the model plane would cause absolute top speed
record for the two propellors to be compared.
