Looking for software to design & simulate gear trains interactively |
Are there any programs to design gear trains? Where you could drag &
drop circles of various radius and set the tooth number then see them
drive one another realistically? Something that would help you design
from scratch various clock movements like on this page:

What you need is the SimMechanics add-on for Mathworks Matlab Simulink. That
and a very deep pocket and a training budget.

Indeed. Any product where you have to get a quote or talk to a sales
person is a sure sign of trouble. :^)
