Oh I'm not downplaying the importance of mathematics in technology.
I'm saying that mathematics isn't the-thing-in-itself.
Don't imagine that you'll discover an equation someday at which
you'll cry out "Jumpin' Jehosaphat !!! "..
suddenly understanding how-things-work, you'll levitate and fly off
into the ethers, at one with the universe and all that.
No the cast has be formed....that type transcendence which every
seeks is to be found
through that long, slow process already described of by those great
mystics of the past.
