microtubules test |
goggle seem can't accept appending to the orig thread so here
is direct quoteless reply
Immortalist if you are still here. The function of Hameroff
microtubules mediating quantum coherence in the brain with
"orchestrated objective reduction" is to explain the global
binding of the entire brain that produces a unity which
is supposedly called consciousness. Now what you are
saying is that we don't need a global binding effect
to explain perception and this means given enough advances
in computers and processing power. We can make computers
conscious without any need for quantum coherence global
binding mechanism? It would be cool to meet pure androids
that can think and feel like you and I. Is this at all
possible?
Anyone?
