Octane Ratings for Ethyl/Methyl |
I posted this on sci.chem but not takers--anyone here able to help?
Gents, could someone point me to the octane ratings for ethyl and
methyl alcohol? I thought they were listed in CRC, but I can't put my
finger on the numbers now.

87 psi gas
65 psi diesel
aclohol 110 psi
EFI DFI
fuel injectors inject direct into the head BTDC at fire.
If you run efi into the intake the OCTane must be above compresion or
it will detnate and ping.
run dfi and it dont matter.
inject it into the head at fire time and octane dont matter because it
cant detnate sooner.

I like the your DFI idea--a one or two cylinder diesel might make a
good test bed.
A compression ratio up around 50 would increase the Otto cycle
efficiency to around 69%--nearly a 20% gain. Who knows how high one
could really go with an engine that had a strong rods, pistons and
bearings. Or, reduce the engine size down to the HP needed and you've
really got a super high MPG vehicle.

I compress ai to 150 psi and inject it into the head , then kick the
flap open and let the tanks presure up in the cyclinder and re-compress
it befor injecting O2 and Gas or iesel or corn oil or candle wax !!

well Im working on the steamer now.
I ran lpe ballanced gas air for many years.
270 HP 250 MPG .
gas air O2 and steam .
the engine has no coolant .
For 2 years all I did was blast underwater and watch Pmax as far down
as 1000 psi.
I might be the best bubble maker under water.
But I shure as hell biult the planets best engines.
The 4 cyclinder fires one cyclinder per sec wile the rest ae getting
eady or are ready and I can fire as many as I want at once.
I can run the tank at 50 psi up to 1000 psi.
This engine can change its displacement .
it can be a big engine or a very small engine and run on a quart all
night at 5 hp.
I can run liquid metal !!
But I know the planets not ready for liquid metal engines.
LPE does 500 MPG at 48 hp when hot in thermal ballance identical to
the human body.
I can ballance it hot on gas air o2 and steam and o2 in an insulated
engine to keep the heat in and then run carrots or candybars !
I ballanced it on candy a few times .
I run it on amoniumnitrate and diesel o2 and intake air-steam and that
one kicks ***** big time.

My jet ski has no parts as a water rocket 4 cyclinder . 2000 pound
thrust max 500 hp.
I ride it at 1000 pound thrust 350 hp.
it can eat rocks dirt but cant bust.
It will just blow your mind to see a 4 cyclinder with a big intake flap
and a open nosel run .
A 1 hp air compressor runs a 71 HP intake neads .
300,000 hp runs this big ship 60 mph.
I get it up on plane with 1 million HP.
The fuel savings in 72 ships is big.
I biult lpe for about 25 years.
I did it because I did far more math then the rest of the planet ever
did combined..
I did MOE math on evrything that ever was.
tossed the best methods into a stack and biult the LPE . got a ship 1000
ton fo 30,000 bucks and ran waterrocket engines on steam .
That system is off the fucking hook .
I loaded logs off the beach and made pulp and lumber on deck and got to
japan from the west coast with processed driftwood on $ 5000 .
I have 72 ships 3 million acres and 15 billion

Nope.
My pc and this ng dont conect.
a piston moves 4 inches and must toss it out but the piston still moved
16 inch with one stroke and waisted 90 % .
2600 pounds of thrust in the cyclinder yet a piston crank convets it
to 100 foot pounds.
per cyclinder is 2600 pounds at 60 mph.
A water rocket can add O2 to the gas air mix and handle 500 to 1000
pounds of compesion and have a 60 inch stroke and produces 2600 pounds
of thrust for 60 inches 1 sec.
No 1 cyclinder boat motor puts out 2600 pounds of thrust OB !
A 120 inch 4 inch cyclinder with 16 inches air intake pushed up to 500
psi befor fuel and o2 injection with no nosel just an elbow out the back
of the ship is 2600 pounds thrust per shot 1 sec pmax.
In a car each cyclinder is 4 inch 200 psi on 13 square inch is 2600
pound thrust.
Its intake is 700 inch stroke intake air sec.
the LPE is 44 inch per sec and puts out 1000 foot pounds at 1000 rpm on
a 24 inch rotor wih 1 inch of vane out.
That is 44 to 700 GPH fuel neaded .
And the 1000 foot pounds at 1000 rpm is so much stronger then the 100
foot pound car .
at 500 rpm it can run 2000 foot pounds at 2 inch of rotor.
I run rotors and have water rockets 12 inch dia 20 feet long with 4
inch nosels 100 point aft and a 5 are on each side bow as bow thusters.
The LPE rotors are iin line 10 of them 48 inch x 12 inch and put out
2500 hp normal and I run 1 or as many as I want ,,then on aux fuel it
runs 100000 hp per rotor .
4500 hp ship engines use 16 ton day.
I run 4500 HP on 1/4 ton day .

then compair any boat motor with a water rocket.

befor I use o2.
Ill just us the steam from a 1930 doble steamer in the lpe and thats
1000 psi at 1000 rpm on 10 % of the steam volume.
1000 foot pounds at 1000 rpm.
thats better then your cars 130 foot pounds.

sliding vane rotors are not new but putting a cam wheel in a rotor hub
is .
75 inches per rotation on a 24 inch rotor.
one square inch of vane X 8 rotatons sec is 480 inches at 500 rpm.
44 inch stroke is 572 cubic inches sec.
197 hp.
a steam engine 1930 uses 400 cubic inch x 2000 rpm at 750 psi .
1 to 11 inch stroke steam.
Thats very simple .
Thats 10 times the MPG .
No denieing anything.
Thats the end of the oil age as you knew it.
10 % the gas is the end of the oil age.
10 X your MPG might be 300 mpg.
volumes dont lie.
No rods no crank no tranny .

all the oil in the lpe is the oil filled berring the sliding vane rotor
rides on.
achohol or LNG ..
run anything you want and force air o2 boost the heat.
push water pistons into a tank and force the air up in the tank like a
spring then drivethe sliding vane with the water from the tank.
The throddle is the cam wheel inside the rotor and it slides so your
foot can set how much vane gets pushed out the rotor .
The cam wheel and vane clearance gate move together to block the flow
of water with vanes 100 % all the time.
That is the end of the oil age and the end of the electric co and the
end of the automaker the end of coal .
it just is.

They wount give me the pattents because NS laws say so. The feds and
DOE wount and dont want anything that would end the oil age .
But then no one else can because I did apply .

Its a 2 cycle gas engine with O2 boost and 44 inch strokes ...and its
a steam LPE when it hheats up and dont nead the 2 stroke gas but will
still use the O2 boost .
1930 steamer runs 20 mpg 390 ci at 1200 rpm at 750 psi ..
thats 700 intake inches per sec.
BUT the lpe uses 44 intake inches per sec .
It runs 1000 foot pounds at 1000 rpm.
Thats more HP more foot pounds on 10 % the fuel.

thrust on 4000 strokes minute.
