Sure. I have a postdoc who is working on this. This is the way
science works -- it's something the cranks just don't seem to get.

picking at these theories, trying to find hints of how to go
farther.
The other part that the cranks don't get is that the people looking
for "relativity violations"
(1) really understand relativity (including the experimental tests
confirming its predictions), so they know what to look for;
(2) are looking to the future (quantum gravity, for instance),
not trying to dig up discredited ideas from the past;
(3) look for real evidence, and admit it if they don't find any.
The part Pentcho Valev didn't quote from the article he cited is
"These effects are so subtle and minute that machines are being
built that can detect changes in mass, for example, one billion
times smaller than that of a postage stamp. The latest instruments
can get down to these required scales, but they haven't found any
violations yet."

Science is indeed over. I was trained as a chemist in the '60's and had
a fine career in academia, government, and industry. Eventually, with
chemistry jobs deteriorating from careers into at-will piecework, I
went into instrumentation design. But I wouldn't give two cents for a

a fine career in academia, government, and industry. Eventually, with
chemistry jobs deteriorating from careers into at-will piecework, I
went into instrumentation design. But I wouldn't give two cents for a
