Supposed a superluminal signal were engineered and causality was put
to the test.
What kind of experimental setup can be done (pls. point out web
references with these scenerios if there are) such that by sending
superluminal signal and altering the past, you can see changes in the
present that is related to that changing past
instantaneously or with time delay. Note I'm NOT talking about time
travel where you assassinated Bush and making Gore president
preventing the Iraq carnage. I'm talking of a signal that is sent to
the past and more of informational sense than actual physical matter
transferred to the past.
My second concern. Supposed you really changed the past by sending
information back in time. What if the timeline just splits in the past
where the altered past has formed a new future that is not connected
to our present (much like Many World Interpretation where the
different histories can't communicate or affect one another). How do
you test that the past timeline didn't produce a separate history and
a separate present??
Thanks.

There is no such thing as superluminal "signals".
Quantum entanglement cannot be used for *arbitrary communications*
over arbitrary distances which remains constrained by the speed
of light.
Neither phase velocity nor group velocity can be used for *arbitrary
communications* over arbitrary distances which remains constrained by
the speed of light.
