People should check out the new textbook at www.motionmountain.net.
The spirit of the project alone is very refreshing and encouraging.
(My Physics professor actually stated in class, that physics will have
little development,
compared with biology in the near future. How discouraging!)
They would keep updating their textbook till a unifying theory is
found.
Way cool. I don't know the quality of their book yet, just downloaded
it.
But their spirit alone is worth tons of praise.

Yeah, Christoph Schiller is a pretty good physics writer. Been reading
his free online book for years now.

Well, maybe some new surprises will happen once LHC at CERN is up and
running for awhile. The quantum "vacuum" is still vastly unexplored
yet. But biology and chemistry are really specialized physics anywise.
