Object: Physics texts suitable for use in cross-faculty teaching?
Hi group,
do any of you know of any good texts with a solid content of
high-school level physics, which can also be used to read in, for
instance, a history class or an english lit class? (Or a religion
studies class, or a spanish class, or... anything not specifically
natural sciences, really)
An example could be "Mr. Thomkins in Wonderland" by Gamow, which is
equally interesting in physics and in english lit.
Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Gamow is good, albeit dated, but that's OK at the high school level.
Check a partial bibliography:

I would also highly recommend essays by Isaac Asimov's essays in
science
<http://www.asimovonline.com/oldsite/essay_guide.html>
as being highly readable by intelligent non-specialists.
Don't overlook Lillian R Lieber and Hugh Gray Lieber as authors,
either:

[some of these may be hard to find, but The Education of T.C. Mits in
particular is well worth the effort of the search]
