Object: Picture of Galilei's discussion of observers in boats - where to get?
Galilei discusses the impossibility to observe linear motion
in a famous passage where he compares an observer on a boat an
one on the shore. There is a beautiful picture of the comparison
in his book (I think it is the Discorsi).
Does anybody have a good jpeg or gif of that picture? I would like
to add it in my free motion mountain physics text.
Thanks in advance!

Haven't got a picture, but I think the first person to discuss
this was Roger Bacon.
Have fun,
