Police Armor Penetration Loading
signed: an S loader
An s shaped cutaway forms
the shaped powder charge.
A break down die is used to
mold the gunpowder.
And common white glue binds
the common pistol powder.
Insert the s shaped powder
cylinder into the pistol
cartridge casing after
sizing and priming.
The slug of powder ignites
at the base and the two
channels, leading from the
case bottom to the bullet
bottom, allow the gases
free passage.
To work up a load start
with a small common quantity
and increase the height of
the slug.
A few extra grains will
be allowed due to the slow
burning. A burning caused
by the glue binder and the
geometry.
A muzzle loader like slow
duration pressure pattern will
be the outcome.
And the velocity of the
bullet will be superior
to the fast burn.
1400fps for the snub nose
and a 38 special.
1800fps for the 6 inch
barrel 38 special.
Those are the safe
working velocities for
the common +P revolver.
And the pressure appears
the same.
A cartridge loaded like this
will allow police armor
penetration rounds from
the small revolver.
Automatic cycling will
be dangerous. A casing
will still be burning while
the lock releases.
A simple symbol on the case
denotes the revolver s load:

* * a small punch ground to a
* * partial triangle.
And be completly safe to
fire.
A drawback appears the
hard handling of the weapon.
Accuracy will suffer until
the shooter compensates
with the stronger grip.
Due to the prohibition on
semiautomatic firing I
recommend only 357mag
commercial loading.
