Three postdoctoral research associate positions are available for our
interdisciplinary nanomaterials research projects: 1) The first
position is in the area of organic synthesis of conjugated polymers and
oligomers. Expertise in transition metal-catalyzed organic reactions
and hands-on experience in Schlenk techniques for air- and
moisture-sensitive reactions are required. 2) The second position is in
the area of polymer synthesis and characterizations. Expertise in
liquid crystalline elastomer synthesis and polymer-based actuators are
desirable. 3) The third position is in the area of nanomaterial
fabrication, characterization and applications. Expertise in
fabrication and electrical, optical and mechanical characterizations of
nanomaterials and nanodevices are required. Hands-on experience in
energy-related applications or biomedical applications is particularly
desirable.
