Object: Pray for an Environmental Solution.
Matthew 5:12-15
Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the
same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. "You are
the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it
be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be
thrown out and trampled by men. "You are the light of the world. A
city on a hill cannot be hidden.
Revelation 22:1-3
Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as
crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle
of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the
tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every
month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.
No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb
will be in the city, and his servants will serve him.
Some people don't know what a solution is. Often, they argue that the
laws of thermodynamics don't allow for perpetual motion, and devices
that produce more energy than they use. There are more than a few, who
don't have enough of an education to make a statement, and those who
do, that won't work out a single equation to know, but then declare
what ever the device, is or may be, cannot work. We must live without
gasoline, and we need more electricity. I'm certain, that some people,
wouldn't know a solution if it jumped up and kicked em' square. I'm
simply asking you to pray for a solution. I look back in history, and
David poured water. There were those who fasted from sleep, and those
who fasted from eating. The ritual isn't important, and sometime
sackcloth and ashes. But, for what ever the reason, there's something
in just taking the time to change your behavior, and do something
completely different, just to see God, pay attention, for even a moment
that you might be heard. Fill a cup 1/4 with salt, then 1/2 full when
mixed with water. Place it in the microwave for 5 minutes set on high.
Since, salt never evaporates, it will always be there. So, even if
the water completely boils away in 5 minutes the salt will still be
there. But, just pray for that 5 minutes, and ask God, for a real
solution. If I had one, all I'd be asking is for some-one take me
seriously when I said, "It will explode, and anything that produces
more energy than it uses, typically would.." The laws of
thermodynamics, cause some of the same conclusions. But, then again,
gasoline, explodes too.

The solutions are already available. The problem is industrial inertia.
Large companies that either produce energy, or are structured around the way
energy is currently produced and distributed by these companies, need a
financial incentive to make the major changes that would be necessary to
move from fossil fuels to a truly renewable energy source. The technology
is there. Unfortunately, the incentive isn't, and isn't likely to be any
time soon. At current rates of production, the world's oil, natural gas,
and coal reserves will last through most of this century. As extracting
them becomes more costly (in the case of oil especially), the natural
tendency of these energy companies will be to simply pass the extra cost
onto the consumer, rather than make a radical change to a new, and in the
long run, much less costly, energy source. After all, why would
stockholders like to see the companies in which they invest spend billions
on research and development for aa revolutionary new energy production
paradigm that would, at least at first, substantially shrink the companies
profit margin? People buy stock in companies and industries to make a
profit, not lose principle. That's the whole idea behind a "college fund",
to mention just one example that we can all probably relate to.
And we're not just talking about companies that produce energy, but all the
companies and systems (for example, public transportation of goods,
services, and persons) that use energy. So any radical change in energy
sources would entail a radical change in these companies and systems as
well. Since such changes would obviously take decades to become fully
implimented, it is certainly possible that before these changes are
completed the world's fossil fuel reserves will be completely
exhausted...and then the real nightmare will become reality. But even if
this change starts in time to avoid this nightmare scenario, there will be a
great deal of upheaval in societies around the world in the best of
circumstances. Our great grandchildren will not live their lives as we
have...that much is certain.
It would be the supreme blunder that while we spend billions each year in
exploring the solar system and beyond, we allowed the unthinkable to occur
rigth here on earth; our eyes glued on the stars when we are hit by the
freight train of our own stupidity as a race of beings that we could have
avoided, even at the last moment, by simply stepping off the tracks.
And with those inspiring thoughts, I bid you, and all, good night.

Solution ? Here is the solution ;
This is dialectics! It's very simple dialectics. One through nine. No
maybes, no supposes, no fractions. You can't travel in space, you can't
go out into space, you know, without, like, you know, with fractions.
I'm a little man. He's, he's a great man! I should have been a pair of
ragged claws scuttling across floors of silent seas.
What's really is in your coffee ?

If I asked you to mix a quater cup of salt, and a quarter cup of water
in a rubber glove would still be sarcastic? Well, if all you're going
to do is talk sure. But, if that was what you really did, you wouldn't
say anything.

You people are so absolutely stupid, that even if some-one puts the
solution right in front of your face, and a real God, fills the ocean
full of fuel, ready to burn. Your response, is all found in the
thread, and your attitude. If you used a pop bottle, it would explode,
if you used a rubber glove, it would explode. If you filled with
gasoline, the bang wouldn't be much smaller. I fucking hate you fools
occupying space, making comments as if you were intellegent, and damn
not doing anything. All of the damn religious screwballs. I don't
fuckin' pray. Jesus Christ, is the second advocate of evil after
Moses. There's no way to word the facts, and get any of you past your
own *****! I keep thinking, it's one of you stupid people that
blows yourself up, or group of you, and a succession of idiots that'll
bring light to the fact that we don't need gas.
