done on superconducting discs? I might feel a bit more confident in
Jack Scarfetti's ideas on a warp drive if a superconducting disc could
influence such things as radioactive decay or something, through
tachyons and dark energy. It misght not be as ridiculous as it seems.

I asked what would be a 'significant deviation', and your answer is a
standard statistical test? No kidding! And that is what you call a specific
answer? My question is about which standard statistical tests. Does it
involve measuring statistical bias or correlation or randomness tests of
some sort? Give some fucking details.
The stated goofy hypothesis is that: "Significant deviations have been noted
in the randomness of data from Random Number Generators around times of
major events in the world." There are many problems with this. The
hypothesis gives no definition of what "deviations in random data" means. It
gives no method for measuring or detecting these deviations in the
"randomness" of data. It gives no definition of what randomness means or how
to detect the degree of randomness of the data. Note that in RNG theory,
tests such as DIEHARD can be applied to random number generating algorithms
or processes, but cannot be used to measure the randomness of actual data
(what ever that would mean since data is not random). There is no sequence
of data that is any more or any less random than any other sequence of data.
The hypothesis does not talk about how the Random Number Generators are
implemented. It does not define what the term "major events in the world"
means or how to measure or detect them. It does not define what "around
times of" means. Is it before, during, or after? Are they seconds, minutes,
hours, days or years apart? Has there been any effort to falsify the
hypothesis? How often do these "significant deviations" occur when there is
no significant world event taking place? How often do significant world
events take place where there is no "significant deviations" taking place?
"I searched for and read several articles that talk about this *****, and
I find only hand waving arguments. I find no descriptions of any statistical
methods, no rigorous definitions of terms being used, or even a clear
statement of the hypothesis. In Science, a null hypotheses is presumed true
until evidence results from experiments that indicate otherwise. This is not
science. This is *****.

I think I also said that we should try something like a superconducting
disc. This seems to be the vital element for producing and
concentrating dark energy. To my way of thinking the Josephson effect
would provide an acid test. If you can't affect random number
generators you clearly do not have dark energy. This is really the
interesting case scientifically.
As far as world events are concerned, once you have decided on a
division of time you can then apply the standard tests. The definition
you decide upon can be quite arbitrary, you can ask how long a news
story runs for as being an indication of its importance. You will
clearly need statistics on the typical lifespan of a news story. This
might be interesting in itself.
Startrek Holidays offers day trips to Saturn and Titan. Walk on

according to startrek was the first flight of the warp drive.

Look, I never said I actually believed it. Jack Sarfetti keeps on
posting on this subject. We really do have to find out if there is
anything in it or not.
Personally I feel that any FTL suffers from the problem of causality.
If negative mass exists it must be cleverly arranged so that any warp
drives we build - if any, cannot violate causation.
Also there is the very considerable vrisk of a runaway inflation. Warp
travel is essentially an inflating bubble. I don't really like it one
little bit.
Still I feel we need to explore.

Well, there's two problems that void the premise behind that argument.
One, it doesn't really matter how much of an advantage you have in the
casino, nor where it comes from (short of something like 90% or 100%
certainty). The bottom line is who starts out with the most and who
has the biggest backing. Being psychic won't help you one bit. Even
the well-known Roulette wheel/card counters profiled on a PBS show
(some of whom I consulted for and help with the preliminary analysis)
needed backers with deep pockets and resolute patience when the big
downswings took place (some getting down as far as the $100K's).
Number two, more people can't even remember yesterday's lottery. So,
it's unreasonable to assume one can remember tomorrow's EVEN IF one can
see the future.

A good case in point (which I had in mind when writing this comment):

made last year when the price of oil was still in the $20's and $30's

because you'll never be able to get off the ground...

Where is the data? They don't seem to have reported results
past Dean Radin's 2002 write up, covering data collected
through October 2001. That report:

paper notes that fixing a defective RNG made two astronomicly
unlikely performances return to chance. Radin may or may not
realize the error in the one remaining long-odds claim. The

five. I informed Radin of the error a little over three
months ago, but I see the paper there remains uncorrected.

Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP) are repeatable and unmistakable. The
How Stuff Works site even did a cover story on it. And criticisms of
the recorded messages are unlikely to be true, because they correlate
with the area and the tester's speech. The written fenomena in his

what absurd claims? The problem is that the testers deny that a
paranormal event is as paranormal or astatistical to win the claim,
even when it is. Sylvia Brown's performance on Larry King Live with

then he claimed that her performance was uninteresting. The prize is a
fraud.
