Pyramid Portal |
Before my friend died he trusted me with many of his things. He was a
really respected scientist, but worked mostly with occult machines.
He would discover new science that had unusual physical properties,
such as this pyramid portal I have now. He had a number of patents
published, and had ways of selling his alternative machines. It was
the spiritual nature of his science that I found so interesting.
I'm looking at a 3 sided pyramid he gave to me. When you turn it
over, it is flat, and has an even curve around it that makes it feel
like it has about 6 sides. Now when you look inside it you can see
your reflection, but any way you angle it you are still looking at
your face, and directly into your eyes. One thing that is interesting
about the mirror, is it shows your reflection correctly without
"mirroring it". You are also looking at yourself upside down.
The other interesting thing about the pyramid, is that there is a
space opened up inside of it. The space is much larger than the
actual pyramid, and isn't shaped like a pyramid. The bottom of the
space is flat, and that's where you can see your reflection. It seems
to be a little portal that has opened up inside of a pyramid paper
weight. There is a star inside of the pyramid, symbolizing the 6
directions, which point out from the center of the space like lines of
laser light.
Meditating on my reflection in the pyramid is really stimulating and
relaxing, but I know there is something more to this device, because
he wasn't just a physicist. He worked on occult machines, that did
things most physicists don't normally believe in. I've already
figured out how most of his other toys work that I have at home. But
this machine I think has even more potential, if I could just figure
out how it works.
Has anyone heard of one of these? Maybe it is kind of like a
spiritual computer that can store and process metaphysical energies,
and access information from across the other planes of existence. I
wonder what significance the 6 pointed star really has. ?

It sounds like you've acquired a standard "corner cube" retroreflective
prism. They're commonly used in surveying in conjunction with
electronic distance meters to provide a precise reflective reference
distance.
I suppose you can give it metaphysical significance if you want but that
sounds like BS to me. The six pointed star effect is just the three
edges between the three "total internal reflection" mirrors seen twice.
Coatings are not required for the mirrors to function.
If you stare at the prism from the front and blink each of your eyes
separately you'll see that only the eye which you brink sees the
reflected eye as blinking. Also the eyelid in the image moves up rather
than down. It's not magic just simple optics.

They aren't cheap because the three surfaces are polished to very
precise mutually perpendicular angles.

Wow! So I am holding something worth $1000 in my hands right now.
Why do you need something that expensive just to bounce light off of
things to take precise measurements? If you are just working with a
laser beam I don't see why the "Mirroring" effect with normal
reflectors would make a difference. It creates perfectly oriented
images, but lasers don't have orientation.

If you multiply the 3 diagonal matrices representing the 3 faces of
the corner, reflector being
(-1 0 0) for x,
(0 -1 0) for y and
(0 0 -1) for z you get
(-1 -1 -1)
meaning x, y and z are all reversed, so the image coming back at you
is on the -z axis and x and y turn into -x and -y, which is what you
observed. The chirality is changed from right-handed to left because
the determinant is negative and there is an odd number of reflections.

Mostly hogwash. Your descriptions use too many words in unclear ways. A
photo would help.
You probably have a cube corner (often erroneously called a corner cube). It
is a retroreflector with many applications. Surveyors use them in
conjunction with distance measuring equipment (DME).

I am studying it further, and it is even more amazing. If you put a
coin on the surface of the glass, you can still see a perfect
reflection of its underside in the depths of the looking glass. If
you move it to any side, the reflection moves to the opposite side of
the pyramid. To the right, it goes to the left, up, it moves down.
Very interesting.
It appears to be fashioned out of 3 mirrors, cut like triangles. They
all form a pyramid and make the 3 lines of the dimensional star.
Except this piece of glass is cut so perfectly that the 3 triangular
pieces of glass reflect off of each other as if they were one, and so
create 6 apparent sections, that create the illusion of space, and
depth. In the base of the pyramid is a perfect reflection of the
polished glass surface, so anything you set down on it can move freely
about.
It reminds me of the hologram illusion, where you put a strawberry
into a dish, and it pops out the top.. Except this seems more powerful
somehow.

Nincompoop?
Let's say gullible or misinformed, more precisely a genuine and typical
product of our wonderful and enlightened educational system.
Be careful though. If scientists and engineers explain everything to the

Welfare? What a quaint word in this day and age. Pls explain.
Can someone be actually "supported" on welfare?
Do not worry about the charlatans and hucksters (*) being out of work.
(*) leave the "magicians and priests" alone.
Instead worry about scientists and engineers finding themselves increasingly
out of work / unable to find work because of shenanigans like this:
