From Osher Doctorow

In earlier threads on sci.physics, I proposed that there is a Universe
or Universal Code partly analogous to the Genetic Code for DNA but
with the former involving triples or sometimes doubles of dimensions
like T1, T2, T3 (3 time dimensions), L1, L2, L3, etc.
What about a Cross-Genetic-Non-Genetic Code that would tell us how the
Universe expands or "grows" and how living organisms grow?
Perhaps the biggest problem in relating physics to Genetics is that we
don't really know how genes work in any way as clearly and as
physically and mathematically as we know how much of physics works.
The Causal effect of the gene on the cell or organ or tissue or body
keeps eluding us in a simple way.
Could "body rhthms" or "biorhythms" give us a clue? We know from
recent medical research that the human body has a built-in "light
cycle" and sensitivity to light related to awakening and sleep, but
how does that work?
One suggestion as to how "biorhythms" work is that they are entangled
with time! We are familiar with "spatial" entanglement from Quantum
Theory, but even there the entangled objects "exchange Knowledge/
Information" in time. An entanglement of biorhythms with both Light
and Time as well as Space reminds us of the Penrose Diagram.
But what is this entanglement supposed to achieve if we regard it as a
fundamental physical process cross-cutting microscopic and macroscopic
scenarios? Why does a body or an organism need to transfer Knowledge/
Information?
One curious possibility is a modification of the Anthropic Principle,
namely that those bodies or organisms (including the Universe and
life) which have achieved entanglement with time and light and space
tend to survive more than those which do not (so that Universes which
are not entangled with time for example, tend to contract or self-
destruct).
The entanglement of the last paragraph is arguably manifest in some
way of "warning" the body or organism about extreme dangers to its
survival. As the organism for example approaches events in time
which may destroy it (especially events which often destroy world
lines of other organisms in past times, etc.), it may intuitively
sense danger.
After this rather detailed but mostly verbal exposition, I can only
suggest here one quantitative paper: "Perfect sampling of the master
equation for gene regulatory networks," by Martin Hemberg and Mauricio
Barahona, Imperial College London U.K., arXiv: q-bio/0610050 v2 [q-
bio.QM] 10 Apr 2007, 17 pages. The Master Equation (ME) is a
generalized Riccati Differential Equation, which the authors
unfortunately analyze with Markov Chain monte Carlo methods. I'll try
to say more about this soon.
