Quantum Gravity Via Expansion-Contraction 72.0: Platonic Ideals Relate to Probable Influence/Causation |

Socrates was in some ways a "ghost" in Ancient Athens because the sole
evidence as to his existence was the biography of him by Plato, leading
many philosophers and others to theorize that Socrates was just an
invented fiction by Plato.
I want to look at the "other side of the coin" for a while, to misquote
Einstein, and ask what would follow if we follow the assumption that
Socrates was not only real but was the father of Plato, and that both
understood the concept of Probability and Causation.
The death of Socrates was extremely emotionally upsetting to his
students Plato and Aristotle. Aristotle followed the "Realist" path
except that he split Energy arguably into Potential and Kinetic. But
Potential is quite similar to Probability intuitively, and if Aristotle
could do this abstract leap, then arguably so could Plato.
Plato has been criticized for being a pure Idealist or Abstractor
(preoccupied with Abstractions), but in fact we would today say that
Causation or Probable Causation is more Fundamental than Material
objects and yet retains a very close connection or relationship with
Material objects as well as other objects.
The "Platonic Ideals" are somewhat like what we call today Ideas,
except that they were not limited to human beings or similar life forms
but ascribed to the Universe as Fundamental "objects" different from
Material objects.
The Ancient Athenians were familiar with building, both columns and
pyramids in Egypt, and in fact studied properties related to them.
But a building is Material, while its "plan" is "abstract". And
thereby "hangs a tale".
Is there anything in Probability like a "plan"? Actually, yes. The
Probability density function or Probability Mass Function and the
Probability Distribution Function as well as the Probability
Characteristic Function. The Gaussian/normal Probability density
function is a curve or graph called "bell-shaped", and it is a
"pictorial plan" as well as an "abstract plan" of a subclass of
Probabilities; and similarly for other Probability density functions or
their discrete analogs called Probability Mass Functions.

So we come to the idea that Probability or Probable Causation is a Plan
for Matter and/or Energy. I will emphasize the Matter Plan here.
According to Mainstream physics, the Higgs field "endows objects with
mass" and is pervasive in the Universe. Objects that touch the Higgs
field "become masses", something like King Midas' touch that converted
things to gold allegedly. But fields are themselves as conceptually
and logically obscure in their operations as Ideas or Ideals at least.
To put it another way, nobody has the faintest idea how Higgs fields
actually operate in converting objects to masses.
Probability and Causation and Potentials are, however, much more clear
in their operation on masses and their dynamics. We can even point
via the Schrodinger Equation to specific mathematical and physical
relationships between/among mass, energy (potential and kinetic), and
Probability, and the partial derivative term in the SchrodingerEquation
gives us Causation via Birkhoff (derivative) Causation.
If "touching" a universal Higgs field can "paint" an object into a mass
or endow it with mass, then endowing an object with Probability and
Causation and Potentials and thereby Probable Causation can do no less
and is much more specific. If we want to, we can hypothesize that
Probability or Causation or both are "Universal" - perhaps Universal
scalar fields if not vector fields.

The role of Condensates (tachyon condensates, Bose-Einstein bosonic
condensates, fermionic condensates including chiral condensates) in the
origin of Mass is often considered to be major or Fundamental, and this
brings us to the arguably similarity between a Condensate and a
Probability graph or curve or Probability density function (etc.).
It can be suggested that a Condensate, whether we can observe it now or
not (the "not" being conditions of the past Universe that we can't
reproduce now, such as super-high temperatures), is the
"concretization" of a Probability graph or curve. If not, it may be an
intermediate step in a similar process.
This brings me to a recent paper in arXiv or Front (I'll have to look
it up again to give more details) about gaugino Condensation. I'll
try to return to it shortly.
