Object: Question about "genralized" Faraday's law
Faraday's Law is usually stated for a wire contour. What happens if
the wire is replaced by a wire which is connected to a big metal
(copper) plate in the middle? (wire --> a rectangular plate --> wire,
closed contour.)
In this case,
1. How do we define a surface which is enclosed by the "circuit"?
2. How do we calculate the emf generated by the rate of change of the
magnetic field that passes through the surface? Same way as usual?
Thanks!
