Not being an astronomer I have no clue how accurate this info is.
So I thoiught I'd check with the experts:
"There are six constellations of Apollo (which is the name of the candy bar
in the station food supply)
1. Cygnus = swan
2. Sagitta = arrow
3. Corvus = crow
4. Crater = goblet
5. Ophiuchus = serpent handler
6. Orion = the hunter "
I did a Google search but couldn't find anything to verify there are
"six constellations of Apollo" I guess referring to myths where Apolo
created certain constellations?
So anyway...what's the story?

Good question, drawing contrast between mythology vs. astronomy.
The positions of mythically-named constellations visible across
the Earth's caelestial zodiac don't necessarily jibe with their
ancient mythical folklore. The question you're asking is mixing
the names of mythical gods & heroes with stellar constellations
for which the latter have been commonly named over centures and
millennia. As you see, these form two rather distinct questions...
A lot depends on what particular myth you're talking about. For
example, Cygnus/Cycnus (Gk. Kyknos), literally "the swan" shows
several distinct variations from extant classic literature, but
is generally deemed to be a "son of Apollo":
http://www.pantheon.org/articles/c/cycnus.html
http://www.coldwater.k12.mi.us/lms/planetarium/myth/cygnus.html
http://www.greekmythology.com/
Realize, when you're talking about the classic ancient mythology
regarding the heavens, remember that Aldebaran 15 degrees Taurus,
Regulus 5 degrees Leo, and other prominent marking stars, marked
what are called "fiducial" stars, meaning relatively-fixed stars
used to measure the positions of the planets in motion as viewed
from the Earth. To truly understand the ancients, you must THINK
like the ancients did, revering the Gods as Xians revere Jehovah.
Using Aldebaran as our prime fiducial (not the vernal equinoctial
point as modern astronomers do) the following list refers to the
J2000 positions of brighter stars listed in the aforecited large
asterisms/"constellations" by their I.A.U. designations, to wit:

As we see, Cygnus stretches from Capricorn into Pisces, but is
predominantly in Aquarius i.e. the caelestial sign co-ruled by
Ouranos(Uranus) and Kronos(Saturn). And while classical myths
are rife concerning the oft-contentious relationships between
the major (namely, ten) Gods of the pantheion, as with Saturn
vs. Apollo, for example; Cygnus, who is a lesser son of Apollo
by myth, is not "of Apollo" by Cygnus' constellational-position.
To be "of Apollo" in that narrow regard would find Cygnus in Leo,
which is to say "ruled by Apollo/Helios/Sun" in the constellations.
So if you re-word your question to ask of those six aforecited
minor god/myths are of Apollo, and simply omit "constellations"
from your question, you'll find the answers you're looking for
more readily. Otherwise, the zodiac determines who is "of whom".
And for the record, if stellar constellations also interest you,
you can download accurate positions for all constellations here:

One wonders why people make posts like this. Surely the future will
have ways of detecting such drivel and removing it. Thus it's
isomorphic to digging a hole and filling it back in. But then, isn't
all of human existence?
