It's not a belief, it is simply an absence of YOUR belief that there might
actually be a mind, or spirit, or soul. Whatever you want to call it.
You are making the same mistake theists make wrt atheism. Atheism is not a

Atheist agnostics go beyond absence of belief in the existence of gods to
unabashedly deny and repudiate, on principle, religious belief in the
existence of gods:

Does Simple Septic say that he does not have an opinion on whether there
are actually minds? if hSimple Septic has an opinion, then that opinion
is shis belief. If Simple Septic has no opnion, why does he keep
expressing one?

But Simple_Septcism is a belief that there is no god, at least Simple
Septic has expressed that belief often enough for us to believe that he
believes it.
