If I'm very lucky, I'll manage 5 kph and short days,

couple of full months for the endeavor, if no
disaster intervenes, as worst case travel time. It
would go a lot faster without the luggage, but that
challenge is part of the charm. My bike trailer is
three and a third meters long, and carries 12
Rubbermaid Roughneck 18 gallon Totes stacked two
high in six compartments. Not a good rig in a high
crosswind; I anticipate having to sit out lots of
different kinds of weather.

How about a small sail, base attached to seat peg
and mast to shoulder harness, with suitable trimming
mechanism? The wind can be your friend! (maybe it
would work better with a trike, or bike w/ outriggers)
How about swivel-mounted fans with windsocks, retro-
fitted to generate electricity, to assist pedaling
on the uphill grades?!?
