The teenybopper Olson twins and Britney Spears are millionaires, and
set for life. Kobe Briant gets payed millions of dollars to chase

Many more have valuable skills, but are struggling just to find work.
The cure for cancer these days is not as valuable as winning the
season title. Many others are dying of starvation and disease, all
while people are spending millions annually to watch sporting events
and listen to "oops I did it again".

Can you feel your world falling apart???

A mere matter of perception.
While we here (Europe) were at the end of stone age (3k BC), some guys
at the bend of Africa, Mali or so were able to produce bronze casts
that we learned in 1700 AC.
Passing knowledge, ahem information, was a bit slower in the past
milleniums than it appears to be now.
Is information now really that much faster ? Not necessarily.
Zero content information, such as songs or sports results are almost
immediate, whereas other more relevant information is withheld.
