Because the show is political indoctrination. And holds no surprises.
Even going so far as to expect viewers to believe that an "independent"
was selected as the vice presidental candidate on the Republican
ticket. While the shows creator, Rob Laurie, might make the claim that
the show will be 'politically balanced', you will not find that such is
the case.
Steve Cohen, one writer of the new series, formerly held the title of
Hillary's Deputy for Whitehouse Communications.
You know you are being spoon-fed by the media when Eleanor Clift,
Newsweek columnist and crypto-socialist, said that of the new series
that, "It's so idealistic, calling us to a higher purpose". (Eleanor,
are you aware that you are talking about a tv series?)
In the first show an advisor to Geena Davis remarked that the moving
the Republican Speaker of the House to the Whitehouse would be, "... a
return to book burning, creationism in the classroom, and invading
every third world country." Sure. That sounds like a balanced
political series.

Interesting. It's also interesting that Newt Gingrich is
likely to top the Republican Presidential ticket in 2008,
with Condoleezza Rice a shoe-in to become Vice-President.
And we can be sure that the United States Supreme Court
is going to rule that Atheism can no longer be taught as
as the sole official de facto religion in public schools.
The devout Atheists are going to be sorely disappointed,
once real freedom of religion returns to public schools
and Atheists realize that they're in the small and ever-
dwindling minority. Nine out of every ten Americans say
they believe in God, and of those the vast majority are
self-described "Christians". But Atheists aren't in the
only religious minority, because there are a significant
population of Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, Wiccans,
Spiritualists, Occultists, Psychic Mediums, Astrologers,
Tarot readers, Shamans, Voodoo Witch Doctors, etc. etc.

Belief is belief. Everyone is entitled to their opinion,
as long as they're not breaking any laws. That's the key.

Americans are going to learn to tolerate true freedom of
speech & freedom of religion whether they like it or not.
Those who don't will be seen by the majority as obsolete
and unwanted--thus the left-wing liberal communists will
be the first to go...followed closely by those similarly-
intolerant fundamentalists on ALL sides of the political
aisle. That applies to the hard-line Atheists, Agnostics,
Christians, Muslims, Jews you name it. Intolerance won't
be tolerated from anyone, irrespective of their faith or
lack thereof. The US Supreme Court is going to guarantee
it, soon enough... :-D
Hallelujah! Here comes U.S. Supreme Court Justice Alito!
