Recurrent Quantum Neural Networks -- explaining Sacchadic Eye movements |
Hi All,
One of the abstracts below talks about Recurrent Quantum Neural
Networks explaining Sacchadic Eye Movements. So nature has mastered
the quantum neural network. PERHAPS YOU CANNOT MAKE A QUANTUM
COMPUTER BUT YOU CAN MAKE A QUANTUM NEURAL NETWORK.

Hi Erach,
But they relate to our earier discussion, where I mentioned quantum
neural networks, thought you might be interested.
QNN: The approach does not make any assumption about the nature and
shape of both signal and noise. The recurrent quantum neural network
(RQNN) is designed to model the unified response of a neural lattice
while ignoring the individual neuronal responses. The average response
of a neural lattice is described using Schrodinger wave equation.

In fact, in order for us to 'see sharp', we need to stop eye movement for a short moment
when scanning an area.
There is _nothing_ quantum related in this, and it is just a logical thing to do.
Because only when we 'stop' eye movement is the picture sharp.
In fact mpeg2 and similar encoding schemes are based on this,
that moving objects are less sharp (and the picture then contains less detail, so less bandwidth
needed).
An electronic system that scans an area would work just the same way, stop at an interesting
object for a short time, evaluate, then move on.
You do in fact the same when reading a sentence of words on the screen or in a book.
So: an other paper was written, an other tree was killed, an other enviro-weener triggered,
earth warmed up some more, but interesting new science did _not_ happen.
