The Sociopathic Activity Index
is a measure of the tendencies of sci.physics posters
to attack other people. As can be seen by their posts,
people rated high on this index have a neurotic compulsion
to attack messengers, rather than address messages.
Folks who are interested in reading sane, on-topic posts,
might benefit by entering such posters into their "kill file",
as the majority of their posts promote negative social values.

But the data has been edited. I haven't seen a post from the Old Man
in quite a while, yet there are a couple of newer names listed.
Perhaps the count was divided by zero and a random number generator
was the ERR= routine that was called. This even matches the way
the Harris-borg codes.

This is one of those threads which consists of 100% nonsense and based
on the poster's distorted view of reality.
You clearly associate an "attack" on by one person on another as
"Sociopathic" behaviour." That's an incorrect usage of each term and
tends to reflect a distorted world view.
There are less attacks posted here as there are posts of anger and
disgust. E.g. I personally don't "attack" anyone for a view that that
hold. But I will get ***** if someone displays pathological
behaviour like bogus corrections to standard terminology on an hourly
basis (such as davy waite is inclinded to do) or when people lash out
by flaming when they either have a different opinion or they don't
understand something. In bilge's case he always seems to *think* he
understands whereas in reality he had a poor understanding to begin
with and posts knee-jerk reactions when people post facts like f = q(E
+ vxB) and "mass is conserved". Under those circumstances they are
then corrected wherein they respond to corrections by flaming the
person teaching them. When the teacher is flamed on a daily basis they
will, of course, get irritated. That's what is known in planet Earth
as "human nature," not "Sociopathic" behaviour."
In this case you're lashing out in anger with this pathetic attempt at
a flame/troll. Since you're being a coward like varney and hiding your
identity then that is more pathological behaviour than angry
behaviour.

It is interesting to see that Double-A
uses the post of a flame war instigator,
as an excuse to bushwhack me.
As can be seen by the thousands of posts I have made
over the years, If I have something to say to anyone,
I do it directly to their face, using my real name and email address.
I don't use phony posts, nor phony email addresses, nor phony names.
And as can be seen, I don't attack posters,
unless I am responding to one of their posts,
in which they attacked me.
As can be seen,
the poster's list is based more on activity in sci.physics postings,
than anything else, and the poster seems to be an active reader of
sci.physics,
who is trying to stir up things. No doubt the poster is a regular reader of
my posts,
as he copies some of my style.
Astute readers (And sharp observers of the human condition, such as Freud.)
would observe that the statement of the poster:
"entering such posters into their "kill file""
goes completely against my philosophy,
as I believe in, and aggressively promote, free and open discourse,
and believe that one learns more from information
gleaned from the fringes,
than one does from parroted dogma.

I think it's Harris. He did threaten troll traps. And pretty much
everyone on sci.physics seems to be listed except for him. The scoring
for some of them, e.g. ranking Edward Green above ZZZBunker for
sociopathic activity, looks like it's just based on number of posts rather
than any evaluation of their content.
Whoever it is, I can't think of any reason to care what he thinks.

I must point out,
that if I made up the list, as Double-A suggests,
and FrediFizzx tries to convey,
that both would be on my list for using
the cowardly, immoral, tactic of trying to smear someone
by bushwhacking and associating with something negative
that they had nothing to do with.
(Not to mention "FrediFizzx"'s defense of "Gregory L. Hansen".)
Bush and the instigators of war-for-power and riches
use the same immoral tactic in trying to associate
Iraq with 911.
This tactic is just a charlatans way of lying.and propagandizing.
Maybe I'll make up my own list and include
cowardly, closet, sociopaths like "FrediFizzx",

ROTFLMAO, what a funny idea. Speaking as someone who has done personality
research, I think you misnamed your metric. I think a little les grandiose and
judgemental would be "hostilty index".
Now considering that the stats here were accumulated by critical evaluation of
the posts of the author. You can count this post as a critique of all the other
posts you evaluated. So, by this logic your hostility index would have rating
of the net sum of all the other rating you gave other people.
Your point that some of the responses here could be more moderate is well taken
by me. The ultimate question is, to what extent do we want pitbull's like
"uncle Al" around to help contain a bigger problem. That is those who through
some combination of ignorance, laziness, arrogance or insanity come here and
polute this group with their stupidity.
My overall inclination is to be tolerant of most of those people most of the
time, but i don't believe i have the final answer. Perhaps the issue we should
address is how can we keep the level of dialogue as high as possible around
here.
