Space-time: Matter's Extension and Motion |
I believe in a flowing Aether. I believe in moving dimensions.
The movement of the first 3 dimensions is the 4th dimension.
If you accelerate you can catch up to this space-time.
Catch up to it and space-time shrinks. The extension of
matter shrinks.
Everything in the universe moves:matter, space, time and energy.
If everything is moving there must be an absolute stillness
for it to exist. Eintein said movement requires stillness
to give it meaning. Why not a metaphysical stillness to
speak into existence absolute metaphysical motion of the
universal aether?
The whole universe moves(there is no absolute stillness in that
sense) But there is a creation stillness to make it all happen.
God the unmoved mover moves the all.

I think that you have the germ of an idea here, although for myself I'd
express it somewhat differently. Just as set theory should have been
generalized into "generalized sets" rather than "objects" in Category
Theory (with specification of how precisely the generalized sets relate
to the old or classic sets), so geometry could be generalized from a
static to a dynamic geometry - an expanding-contracting spacetime could
be studied either in its purely mathematical aspects or as a
"physics-geometry". But geometers were too busy with other interests,
and algebraic geometry together with algebraic topology were trying to
win the rat race for heavy funding in Superstring/Brane and Loop
Quantum Gravity (LQG) as rival schools. Score one against Survival of
the Fittest.

I Believe (For Every Drop Of Rain That Falls)
I believe for every drop of rain that falls, a flower grows.
I believe that somewhere in the darkest night, a candle glows.
I believe for everyone who goes astray, someone will come to show the
way.
I believe, I believe.
I believe above the storm the smallest pray'r will still be heard.
I believe that someone in the great somewhere hears every word.
Every time I hear a newborn baby cry, or touch a leaf or see the sky,
Then I know why I believe!

I believe that UFOs are real objects, and that they are really flying,
and that they are unidentified.
I believe that if I *only* had 38 cents in my pocket at the start of
the week, I would still have 38 cents in my pocket at the end of the
week.
I believe that heroin is being smuggled into this country in frozen
turkeys, which is why we all fall asleep after dinner on Thanksgiving.
I believe that an intense solar flare is somehow responsible for
Congress being the way it is today.
I believe that if Nick ever tried a fried boloney sandwich on toast, he
would not use "boloney" as a disparaging term.
I believe that The X-Files are autobiographical.
I believe that sci.physics can sustain a sensible conversation for a
maximum of 19 entries without a personal ad hominem attack, according
to international treaty.
I believe that Uncle Al needs someone to give him a serious tickle
party.
I believe that Androcles is the reincarnation of Antonio Saliere, and
he is just as tortured now as he was then.
I believe that the only two screen stars that ever made a successful
conversion to directing were Dirty Harry and Opie Cunningham.
I believe in burping lustily and guilelessly.

I believe I could easily like you if you did not have such daft and
autocratic ideas on
physics.

Good for you!
Now, write down the equations, find out how it differs in the
details from current thinking, and do some testing to see which
is true!
All you need to do then is collect the Nobel Prize.

Kevin Costner's "I believe" speech in Bull Durham is more compelling:
"I believe in the soul ... the small of a woman's back, the hanging
curveball, high fiber, good scotch, that the novels of Susan Sontag are
self-indulgent, overrated crap. I believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted
alone. I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing
Astroturf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot,
soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather
than Christmas Eve, and I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses
that last three days."
