Object: spectroscopy question
I have an old book 'Introduction to Atomic Spectra' by White listing the
multiplicities in the optical spectra for the elements in the long first
period (potassium to germanium). Singlets for Cr and Fe as well as
doublets for Mn are missing as they were not known at the time (1930).
Have these now been observed?
Thanks,
David.
