Spinning Asteroids/YORK and Theory Implication |
Here is the scoop.
A cause to sun as the turn appears the theory. A beam of light
caused by the shape.
I wrote two highly considered sentences to warn of apparent simplistic
thinking as compared to real theoretical thought. A shape to cause
light direction is a hard thing to ponder and consider because of the
meaning of uniform as the cause to heated surface. Normally the
uniform,
as a spatially located energy deposition, i.e. the sunlight hitting
the surface, causes symmetric force due to re-radiation of the light's
energy.
A spinning as the cause to asymmetric force was not allowed to be the
theory, because all non-uniform asteroid density and shape
irregularity caused the balance to rebalance on the asymmetric axis of
rotation! A light force appears balanced. So the caused force is
isotropic.
SO the theorectical physicist arrives to explain and uses a windmill
analogy. An angled surface allows angled force.
The last sentence appears an odd theoretical solution. Angled
asteroid surfaces effects force direction! Who claims that!
And the newtonian physicist's on the newsgroup are supposed to call
all the newspapers to explain how it is obviously false. Or at least
pipe-up and claim the YORK theory hogwash.
See, physics is odd. It is strange non intuitive appearances of force
and effect! Everything taught in the common Phd program avoids these
realities and make no distinction between the Newton discovery and the
Einstein/Heisenberg discoveries.
So wake up students. Learn that the single example of non action-
reaction force appearance causes a failed theory of all force. And
this is fairly important.
Go home and quit as a theorist, if you think it is not. A proper force
theory is a small well written thing. Here is the correct version for
all theory. As a warning, at a minimum learn to write and read as the
Stanford Philosophy site, "logical form" web page recommends. Use nth
order abstract relation or do not try to be a theorist, just learn it.
It is the outcome of a lifetime of applied physics work.
"All material motion as effect to equilibrate force's momenta exchange
appears an equation."
It is several versions long now but the relation stated is always the
same. A force as effect of material motion is altered to the truly
existing relationship between all matter. I use the force of "solid
state" physics for all applied physics situations. An equilibria as
the applied momenta always causes the time change of location or time
itself in General Relativity.
So these are huge, Huge, Huge times in physics. Anomaly after anomaly
after anomaly is demanding a change to all resolved quantum mechanics
and GR. We do not get to fail to get valid answers now adays. Over on
sci.moderated.research there are true theorists using the finist
mathematical models, but the wrong theory class. Go figure that out,
then complain that my nuclear security warning over on
sci.physics.foundations was incorrect. Statistical Mechanics is not
ever the same class as solid state physics. Nobody over there even
understands solid state theory evidently because they think it
impossible to make analogy quantum theory wise.
Some jackass has even abstracted all geometric momenta exchange in
mathematical theory, but failed to apply it. An act of abstract
formulation appears the solution to the relation mystery.
Why invent the solution, then forget it is the solution and use it for
statistical mechanics force theory?
DO you see what is happening? A mathematical capacity exists to solve
the quantum mechanics/GR dilemma. But it needed single example to work
on.
So Our theory is to make the asteroid emit. A state of the large
matter must be formulated.
And it must be found to emit.
Warning: All the QM/GR dilemma in physics is long over with some
where out there.
What you gonna do is somedays find out it goes boom, again. Symmetry
acts now adays. We have fifteen anomalies charted where a geometric
relation is a cause to force appearance. And they all line up on the
force resolution function.
In general, alter to my force definition/solid state, remove the
nuclear security aspect, line up all forces and if an anomaly prevents
uniform force appearance, then a symmetry is found to cause the
anomally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plot the anomalies.
BOOM. Inverted symmetries may effect also. An inverted geometric form
has symmetry effect also. DO not symmetrically effect as
supersymmetry! A symmetry solves force dilemma. It causes force to
appear sometimes.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Sunlight can cause asteroids to spin more
quickly, scientists said on Wednesday, showing anew just how dynamic a
place our solar system can be. International teams of scientists
studying two asteroids, one about a mile wide and the other about 375
feet
wide, confirmed a previously unproven theory that sunlight can affect
the rotation of asteroids because they tend to be irregularly shaped
and not perfectly round.
Stephen Lowry of Queen's University Belfast in Northern Ireland said
the findings boost the understanding of the physical properties and
dynamics of asteroids -- hunks of metal and rock rattling around in
space.
"This is important as asteroids are leftovers from the formation of
the solar system, along with comets, and so by studying them we gain
insights into what the solar system was like some 4.5 billion years
ago," Lowry said by e-mail.
In research appearing in the journals Nature and Science, the
scientists focused on the so-called YORP effect, named for four
scientists who inspired the theory.
The idea is the Sun's heat serves as a propulsion engine on the
irregular features of an asteroid's surface. "YORP can accelerate or
decelerate the rotation rate," Mikko Kaasalainen of the University of
Helsinki in Finland said by e-mail.
When sunlight hits the asteroid, the solar energy is absorbed and then
radiated back into space. When the asteroid is not spherical, this can
create a push off parts of its surface that alters its spin.
"Depending on the exact shape, the effect on the entire asteroid's
surface can lead to a net torque, which can slowly alter the time it
takes the asteroid to make one full revolution," Lowry said.
Patrick Taylor of Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, added in a
telephone interview, "Another way you can think of it is how wind
causes a windmill to spin, or if you blow on a pinwheel it starts
spinning."
'VERY DYNAMIC'
The scientists calculated the expected strength of the YORP effect on
the asteroids. These estimates essentially matched their measurements
of the two asteroids' spin changes over a period of years.
"It really shows that the solar system is a very dynamic place and the
Sun -- our star -- affects all worlds, not just Earth, not just the
planets but even the smallest rocks orbiting the Sun," Taylor said.
Using large telescopes and radar facilities, the scientists watched as
the spin of near-Earth asteroid 2000 PH5, the smaller one, increased
by 1 millisecond per year. Its orbit takes it inside and outside
Earth's orbit, and it has come as close to our planet as five times
the distance to the moon.
"It is relatively small, and so more susceptible to the YORP effect.
Also, it rotates very fast, with one day on the asteroid lasting just
over 12 Earth minutes, implying that the YORP effect may have been
acting on it for some time," Lowry said.
"Eventually it may spin faster than any known asteroid in the solar
system," Lowry said.
Lowry said the YORP effect plays a role in changing asteroid orbits in
the crowded Asteroid Belt between Mars and Jupiter, including moving
them to planet-crossing orbits.
Kaasalainen said the increasing rotation speed of asteroid 1862
Apollo, the bigger one, probably will break it apart due to
centrifugal forces. Noting the asteroid already has a small moonlet,
he said it might have broken apart a bit already.
The researchers said the spin of this asteroid in the past 40 years
has accelerated so much that it has an extra rotation per orbit around
the Sun.

You noticed! Thanks. I drop verbs sometimes to warn the reader of
relationship.
As theory goes, all physics is reducable to sets of abstract nth order
form. Relations of physics correspond to the real relation found in
transcendental nature. And the function is the outcome of the class
of observation rather than theoretical form discovery. As the physical
theory becomes understood, a property of nature will be realized by
considering the beam of light from the asteroid!
The YORK theorists used the windmill analogy, not the emitted beam of
light!
So think carefully of the words, "just like the windmill" and use
light not wind.
That was the YORK scientists recommendation to elucidate the
relationship of wind particle to light particle. An angle of emission
relation is used.
This is big stuff scientifically because the theory if proven true
alters science substantially.
So I apologize for droping the verbs.
