Strong Magnetic Field Room -- Effect Body? |
I am in a magnetic room. No electric fields at all. Only static
magnetic fields.
1. Ceiling of room is north magnet
2. Bottom of room is south magnet
3. Wall behind me is south magnet
4. Wall in front of me is north magnet
5. Wall right of me is north magnet
6. Wall left of me is south magnet
Each magnet is 10^10000 [10 to the power 10000] Oersted. All magnets
are tightly connected an constructed together in infrastructue so that
they don't slam into each other.
What symptoms will I experience if I am in this room and exposed to
those strong static magnetic fields? Any neurological symptoms? Any
pain? Change in heartbeat?

You'll die immediately.
Neglecting differential forces on the bits of the body, the electric
current caused by your blood flow, never mind movement will cause large
currents to flow.
Even if this doesn't kill you, it's going to effectively stop circulation,
which will.
I suspect that your body will before this actually happens be ripped
apart into very small bits, depending on each bits reaction to the
extreme magnetic field.
I lack the inclination to do the sums, but suspect that at that sort
of field, you're talking about the oxygen atoms ending up on one wall,
and the iron on a different wall, in microseconds.

Would the effects be any different if all the magnets were south?

You need to go and look at a textbook to find out what 10^10000 is.

Electric current occurs when there is opposite or different
polarities. If the polarity and strength are the same would their be
any electricity?

Currents result
o difference in potential
o changing magnetic fields

Am I missing something here?
Google: diamagnetic levitation spider frog
He may get pinned to the ceiling :)
Best, Dan.

10^10000 oersteds.
10^9996 (?) Tesla.
About 10^9995 stronger than the frog levitation experiments.
Actually, I think a field that stong, over that volume will promptly
form a black hole.

Hmm.
What effect would the appearance of a black hole with a mass greatly
exceeding the mass of the universe have?
