That article is a good example illustrating (!) the difference between
*temporal* coherence and *spatial* coherence. Thanks!
There was an "After Image" picture published in OPN, the member journal
of the Optical Society of America a couple of years ago, showing
sunlight speckle off a (U.S.) nickle. Using a spectral filter helped to
increase the contrast.
