Talk.Origins banned subject: BigBang theory on string? |
This seems to fit in with 'string theory'. If you have ever heard a
full description of String Theory you will be amazed at what that
description is. According to String Theory every bit of sub-stomic
stuff is composed of unimaginably small energy strings of energy that
vibrate and determine by the frequency of that vibration every bit of
stuff in the universe. So, according to string theorists, the wholw
universe, including space is actually energy. Is that or is it not a
reminder of Isa 40:26?
http://www.newscientist.com/news/news.jsp?id=ns99994320
The Big Bang sounded more like a deep hum than
a bang, according to an analysis of the radiation left over from the
cataclysm.

greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth."
I don't see any reference to string theory here.
BTW, I noticed that Isa 40:28 contains a contradiction, not usual for the
Bible:
40:28 "Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God,
the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is
weary? there is no searching of his understanding."
If he never tires, then why did he rest on the seventh day?

I suppose in the language of mythology, because `he' has ended the
work of creation and has nothing further to do, or do you insist on
your definition of the word `rest'? There are available more modern
accounts of the origins of things, which some with some basic training
may also learn from.

Sounds like one of those "it depends on the what the meaning of the word
'is' is" things...
This isn't the only place the G-man gets winded:

Face it: The Bible is far from conclusively being the literal word of God.
Perhaps not a bad try by the ancients, but just not good enough any more.
www.skepticsannotatedbible.com lists 1088 contradictions alone. There are
serious problems with that book, and certainly no sensible person should
consider it anything more than a historical and cultural artifact.

If you are going for a contradiction, find a real one. This one is just
silly. To rest also means to cease from labor. According to the Scriptures,
God created everything in 6 days. He was then finished, and "rested".
When you are finished with a work, you stop working on it.
Skepticism is one thing. Silliness is another. I object to creationist
silliness, and I object to this bit of silliness as well. If you are going
to try to find difficulties in the Scriptures, you will have to do more
study and get to know the Scriptures better and in context.

If one sets out to study the scriptures, then read the words and study
them. It one sets out to study the universe, then observe the
phenomena and study them. They are diverse things.

The Australian Aborigines believed that the Earth was *sung* into
existence. Looks like they had a far more apposite creation myth than
anything in your Bible! It seems you've been backing the wrong

No, only idiots like you who don't understand science and cannot keep
up to date would be amazed. The rest of us have known since
Einstein's time that matter is actually "frozen" energy.
Is that or is it not a reminder of Isa 40:26?
Far from it, since Isa 40:26 actually says, "Lift up your eyes on
high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out
their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness,
of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth."
Nothing about the universe being energy there. It does appear to say
the stars are so well made that not a single one of them fails, but
this is not true, so all you have demonstrated here is yet another
Biblical lie.
The absurdly hilarious and hypocritical thing here is in your
accepting physicist John Cramer's work here, but if this same
physicist told you (as physicists the world over do) that the universe
came about naturally, you would call him a lying pig.
Shows how irremediably screwed up you are, Antonio.
BTW, the freight train is *still* coming.

Look at the night skies: Who do you think made all this? Who marches
this army of stars out each night, counts them off, calls each by name
--so magnificent! so powerful!-- and never overlooks a single one?
--Isaiah 40:26
Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things,
that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names
by the greatness, of his might, for that he is strong in power; not
one faileth. --Isaiah 40:26 (Same verse, different version)
I don't see the connection. If anything, 1 John 1:5 and Genesis 1:2-5
would do better for the type of correlations you're looking for.
