TENS --- Re: epson salts and elctrolytes |
What you describe below in your link is called a "TENS" short for
=== Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulator ==
Google for it ---[ TENS ]--- 43,300,000 hits.
The electrolyses don't do anything but conduct the electricity.
Get the "very cheapest" one you can buy and test it.
TENS do NOT cure anything. Reputable mfgrs. tell you so.
What almost nobody tells you is that they do work ONLY in the short
term for most patients. Neuralgia is a very complex malady and no
easy fixes are known. TENS work simply by overwhelming the pain
signal from/at the site of trauma and send very confused messages
to your brain that are not clearly interpreted as painsignals.
So you get the feeling or impression that the pain has lessened.....
unfortunately the body does not give up that easy and after a few days
or months your nerveous system will have figured out the "deception",
no matter how high you crank the V & A's and the pain returns with
a vengeance. BUT do give it a try. Any relief of pain is better than
none. Good luck to you.

PS:
There is a relatively new fix-attempt around for neuralgia. It's a set
of direct subcutaneous injections of Ethanol onto/into the bothersome
nerves. The EtOH effectively kills the nerve tissue and you won't feel
anything any more. The sclerosing agent mixture is 4% alcohol &
marcaine. You will need about 6 consecutive injections to see the
result. Actually, I think you can look up the study which was done on
this by Dr. Gary Dockery.
But don't kind yourself. THIS ONE is irreversible. Having no feeling
at all any longer in a any body portion can be as bad as having too
much (= pain). With all of your tactility gone you fall easy prey to injury.

can any one here see why , when combined with small electrical
currents in water ( espon salts and elctrolytes ) would help some one
with neurological conidition such as myself ?
There is product online thats reputed to help folk (

) and seems to be helping me just now though , i just wondered if
there might be a better substitute than the electrolyte solution and
epson salts they recommended
thanks
