While tensors and the finite light speed c have not exactly "collapsed"
in physics, I'd like to argue that claims about their "fundamental
nature" appear to have collapsed in physics, in line with my last few
threads on sqrt(1 - v^2/c^2) and the Schrodinger wave function w in the
expression ww*.
It appears from these postings that Special Relativity and Quantum
Mechanics, far from being basically different, involve similar
dependence on complex non-real variables and non-causal or
non-probable-causal scenarios which arguably relate to chaos.
General Relativity in its dependence on tensors goes in the direction
of non-real Clifford algebras which are at least as "non-causal" as
complex variables. (Probable) Causation/Influence is arguably a
property of real variables.
What about the much-emphasized "independence of coordinates" of tensor
equations? Well, it's nice to be independent of coordinates, but I'm
not really sure that this goes very far toward expressing (Probable)
Causation. If I asked you whether A causes B, and you tell me that A
and B's relationship is independent of coordinates, I'd say that you'd
make a great trampoline acrobat or free-fall astronaut, but not quite a
Causal expert. But who knows, maybe I'm wrong. It could be that the
geometry and topology of General Relativity are really more important
than its use of tensors, which black holes seem to indicate arguably.
If so, I'll modify my position accordingly. I'm certainly keeping away
from Mercury until this thing is settled :>)

From SR, to QM to j, to non-causal, to non probable, to chaos theory, all in
one sentence!
