There is something moving over the entire universe
sustaining it.
Aether is just another name for time which is sustaining
everything in its own motion.

That guy Mark?
Why should I believe what he has to say?
Like I told him "How do I know what you
say is right if I don't already know it for
myself?"

You DON'T know if I'm right 'til you you know it yourelf. But I know
what I know, and if you say things I'm sure are incorrect, then I'm
just liable to say so, just as you do.

Yes, both of these words are floating around inside my head, and seem

He means Aether is the Spirit of God. Why not? Newton declared that
space is the sensorium of God.

It probably means someone's not done his homework again.
Without physical verification all the math in the world
won't do much.
SR/GR has been verified (I can't say "proven" for various
reasons) a large number of times. Aether has been
discredited, mostly by the MMX experiment but also by a
fair number of other experiments, which show the aether
as being generally unnecessary.
Is there a better theory? Good question. For now, SR/GR
is sufficient, and c'=c+v, aka emissive/ballistic theory,
need not apply.

But the only thing you can verify of a theory are its predictions. Mere

What else should physics try to explain? And there are lots
of meters out there -- some of them attached to spacecraft
to determine how fast they go. :-)
