The assumption about a spherical Atom should be dead by arrival why?
because
1 it starts from the wrong assumption about orbiting electrons
all around the nucleus.
2 it leads to endless distorted conclusions about Atom sizes
3 wrong assumptions about 'shells of electrons' etc etc
4 prevents advance if science
(that last one reason, should be enough, even without all the
others!!)
