The End of Zombie Science II |
Since zombies are going, as always, to confuse everything, here is what
is essential in the story:
http://www.news.com.au/story/0,10117,17159653-1246,00.html :
"When you find out the speed of light differs, the whole Einstein
theory starts collapsing."
But support for Professor Cahill is growing. The Australian Research
Council gave a $60,000 grant for his research, and the world's largest
particle physics laboratory - CERN in Switzerland - has donated
$100,000 worth of optical fibres.

Not in the least. As has been explained time and time again on
sci.physics.relativity SR is not a theory about light. It is entirely
consistent with light having a very small but non zero mass in which case it
is not constant.

| found science's Holy Grail - the fabled Theory of
| Everything."

| "Key responsibilities:

http://www.scieng.flinders.edu.au/cpes/people/cahill_r/processphysics.html
| "A new paradigm for the modelling of reality is
| currently being developed called Process Physics.
| In Process Physics we start from the premise that
| the limits to logic, which are implied by Gödel's
| incompleteness theorems, mean that any attempt to
| model reality via a formal system is doomed to failure.
| Instead of formal systems we use a process system,
| which uses the notions of self-referential noise and
| self-organised criticality to create a new type of
| information-theoretic system that is realising both the
| current formal physical modelling of reality but is also
| exhibiting features such as the direction of time, the
| present moment effect and quantum state entanglement
| (including EPR effects, nonlocality and contextuality),
| as well as the more familiar formalisms of Relativity
| and Quantum Mechanics. In particular a theory of
| Quantum Gravity has already emerged.
|
| In short, rather than the static 4-dimensional modelling
| of present day (non-process) physics, Process Physics is
| providing a dynamic model where space and matter are
| seen to emerge from a fundamentally random but self-
| organising system. The key insight is that to adequately
| model reality we must move on from the traditional non-
| process syntactical information modelling to a process
| semantic information modelling; such information is
| `internally meaningful'. "

You think stalking me in other NGs is gonna get rid of me in this one, think
again, ***** for brains. I've pretty much ignored your anger, bitterness, and
general small mindedness for nearly a year now, but I post just a couple of
messages here lately and you come and stalk me not only here, but in other NGs?
What's the point of that, Van Moortel? Did I strike a nerve way back then? Was
outing you as the bitter, lowly, immoral, pathetic old man all that hurtful?
Does my mere presence remind you of the fact that you have no life and no claim
to fame and that you've accomplished nothing in your pathetic life? Is that why
you've posted here for so long and devoted yourself to McCarthy-like tactics to
silence those who challenge you? Is it because this is all you have, and to
have it challenged in any way would destroy the only reason you have for
continuing to waste fresh air?
Well, think again, *****. Whatever your motive in going after me for
absolutely no reason could possibly have been, it backfired. I'm not going
anywhere, *****. Deal with it. I'm going to re-devote myself to exposing
you for the empty shell of a person you really are.

A more mature Einstein stated ~'it would be enough to really
understand the electron'~
For every 99 students that follows in Einstein's footsteps
there is 1 with sense enough to stand on his shoulders.

Relativity is fine for describing what happens in the extreme (extreme
velocities, extreme mass...). In our everyday world of people, and
minds, and neural networks, and the evolution of systems, cybernetics
rules.

Why would anyone want to archive a velocity in a particle accelerator?
Surely libraries and dusty shelves in basements are more suitable?
