The Gravity Compass |
I am willing to sell the secret, and provide a working gravity compass
to anyone who feels they could use it. I will not however disclose
any other information about the device, or provide of its source until
a buyer might make himself interested. This is not a toy, or a
trick. The gravity compass has been patented, and is considered
unexplainable by Newtan's laws of motion. If you would like
information about purchasing a working device, contact me through e-
mail.

Patents aren't secret; they are published.
Can't you do some divination and find some new technology/laws of
physics? On a more realistic level I would buy a book on The
Esoterism of the Significant Scientists.

Anyone is not a they.
It would be valid to argue that Corey's sentence here does not call for a
plural, but although this is certainly true, the pluralisation of the
pronoun to 'they' is a common means of avoiding gender-specific terms or
the need to write 'he or she'. This can make for some awkward and jarring
constructions, but provided care is taken to avoid anything too clumsy the
usage has become acceptable by convention.

I assume your post was intended to be facetious in view of your email
address. However, I'm not blessed with a sense of humour, so:
There is indeed a use of 'they' in the post: you can see it above.
Now, I'll try your suggested alternatives:
"I am willing to sell the secret, and provide a working gravity compass
to anyone who feels one could use it."
"I am willing to sell the secret, and provide a working gravity compass
to anyone who feels who could use it."
Both are clearly incorrect.
I've also heard of 'heard' with one 'r' and one 'e'; and I'm pretty sure
"one can't avoiding anything" isn't English.
I suggest if you want to hold forth about grammar you start by learning
some, or at least use it if you know it. As for 'they' as a singular
pronoun, as I said, it's awkward - but if you'd care to consult a
dictionary you'll find it is conventionally accepted.
In any case, where Corey is concerned, I'm surprised anyone would focus
on his grammar before the sheer unhinged irrelevance of most of his
posts.

There are several points about CoreyWhite's statement.
1. The overall approach is that of a sideshow hocker in the circus;
not to revel the inner workings is to keel the mystery.
2. CoreyWhite's composition is suffering from an inability to spell:
given the name 'Newtan's'. The honorable Sir Issac Newton is rolling
in his grave.
3. Give all of us the 'Patent Number', else this is just a fiction.
4. The phrase 'Gravity Compass', is a confusion of terms; 'Compass' is
reserver for describing devices that point in a Magnetic field. There
are no Gravitational field pointing devices like a compass needle.
I think every one is being fleeced here.

Sigless GPS ,,
after I biult it I wrote how a duck knows where the ***** he's at .
sigless went from sigh fizz en ge ..
around the planet and back out russa .
shure SOME DUMBFUCK will file a patt.
but befor he can see it then ,,he must disclose.
He must tell his stock holders where the idia came from ..in case he
stole it from some one with a working machine .
If he saw some ones working machine and copys it on paper and filed a
patt ,,the investers must know . He can get the patt ,,
then go to the joint for fraud.
If the other machine is better ,,and years went into development he
will get sued as well .
Most of the time ,,,,,,99 % of the time THAT dumbass filed and did me a
favor.
he will just get ripped off ..
Mine is better.
he waisted his money ,,
besides ...when its time to sell an idia..
thats just not how its done.
Ill just lef out 89 % of what I know.
Ill show evry fucking one of the buyers what it will do.
Buyer 1 will spend 2 million develope ..
testing cost money..
mistakes cost money ..
I allready made the mistakes and rebiult too many times.
They all know about it and there is no patt..but the best pat improvd a
bad one .
AND thy might miss somthing and be stuck.
Its worth the research money spent..
2 million in research short cuts .
2 million they buy evrything ,,and know evrthing in an instant and it
might take the other fuckers that know but didnt pay years of test
because tey fucked up some place.
Any machine is a good as the mother fucker that biult thee fuckin
thing.
Morons are a dime a dozzen .
Honda owns lots and lots of morons.
But do they have 1 brilliant *****?
I dont give a ***** if he sleeps in a log ..
if he biulds somthing and its briliant works and he will get a contract
to make sure they got it.
If they can rip you off they will.
paying you can be te cheeper method.
You must creat that option and isolate it.
buyers persure ad forced sale.
pay me or Il show evrybody ...
pay me or some one else will ,,and you wount have one because youll get
stuck .
make shure the other fucker dont have one and you dont get stuck and pay
me.
the patt aint *****.
let the buyeer get one and take creadit.
faimouse sucks if your broke but you can be a rich nobody ..and like it.

That is a cool idea.
Does it always point north when the mass on a string running a dial
indicator drops from a height of five feet to the ground?
Since all patents are published by international law you should be able
to just Google it up.
Nevermore (gravity is but caprice)
If this is what you are looking for then google away:

Only thing is, it isn't exactly what is going on in house, and unless
you know about the project to begin with I do not think you will find
the pattents.
If the patents were filed, then they can be found. I do not think the
patents were filed. I strongly suspect they exist in your mind and possibly
no where else.

In fairness, that's pretty much the definition of what IS patentable:)

Kinda clunky and dated. Do you keep these with your 8-tracks?

You can probably save yourself some trouble by buying a COTS fiber optic
ring gyro the size of watch battery which will bring you up to about
1995 on the Maximum Zoom Dweebie Cool Scale.
