90 m^3 @ 30 megaPascal. Interesting, but where do they
get the energy for recompressing the air?
Also, compressing the air will require
101325 * 90 * integral(x = 101325/30M to 1)(1/x - 1 dx)
= 101325 * 90 * (log(30*10^6) - log(101325) - 1 + 101325/30M)
= 42.8 MJ
in a standard pressurized tank, and of course this is about
the energy they'll be able to get out, if I'm doing this correctly.
A 90 m^3 tank filled with gasoline will contain 90 * 34.6 GJ
= 3.114 TJ. That's 90,000 liters or 23,800 gal -- enough to
travel around the world twice.
So color me a tad confused here.

the idea is to keep the terribly congested cities free of smoke so the
hindus won't choke on it. i do realize it takes more energy to produce
compresssssed gas, and worsens global warming situation. however, the best
answer to global warming is nuke energy. won't you agree?

A misguided idea. If Hindus stop choking on the air, non-Hindus too
would stop choking on it. So, keep on trying to find ways to stop just
Hindus from choking:->

Mr. Hajibhai Amadbhai Sumra Aged 58, Residing at Ruda-1, Plot No 164,
Behind Vrundavan Society, Kalavad Raod, Rajkot 360 005. Gujarat -
INDIA, wants to sell his technology at Rs 2 crore that is $400,000,
which requires no compressed air after first filling.
It could be relevant for harmony to know that his partner ( someone
who has invested in Hajibhai to the tyne of 1000,000 Rupee) is
Junagadh Swami Narayan Pramukh Swami.
And Hajibhai has respectable credentials as hindu, his sone having
married a brahmin girl.

Two questions.
1. Why do you say "hindus" may be on to something? What is the
significance of the word "hindus" here?
2. Air does not get compressed without expenditure of energy which is
provided either by electricity driven compressors or by fossile fuel.
Electricity produced by solar energy and hydroelectic dams may be non
polluting but others are not. Would like to see the cost breakdown of
producing the compressed air. Hydogen can be produced from water by
eletrolysis, but more energy is needed to produce hydrogen by
electrolysis than the energy efficiency attained by burning hydogen.

again, the idea of the project is to provide clean environment in
overcrowded cities where the local hindu pedestrians are breathing by the
passing cars. how much is clean air worth when the alternative is to choke
on exhaust from hydrocarbon burning?

pls see the picture of the slow moving traffick situation in india close to
the houses and the shops and the pedestrians:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/shared/spl/hi/picture_gallery/07/business_bmw_opens_new_factory_in_chennai0_india/html/6.stm
wouldn't you want air operated cars around you if you lived there? there is
a huge market potential there for the creative american automakers if they
apply themselves to it.
(now, bmw is opening a plant in india!)

India has no use for large overpowered SUVs. In short, no American designed car is attractive in such a market. You can
barely even sell them in Europe.

on the bright side, if al gore is right they will be under water soon

Didn't you know the whole of France is Hindu now?
It is a French design after all.

The same old car does the rounds again !
It's the MDI aircar designed in France and it's been a commercial flop for the
last 10 years.
