Object: The (Metaphorical) Death of Archimedes Plutonium; was: Re: Why Archimedes Plutonium will never proof the 4CT
Since Archimedes Plutonium has made it clear that he would prefer to
delete any unfavorable responses to his posts, it is safe to say that
he no longer wants communication with the real world. Since that
feeling is mutual, for all intents and purposes, he no longer exists.
So who was this Archimedes Plutonium? He created a universe based on
his concept of "Atom Totality" and wanted to create a revolution in
science. He said he was a genius, but he was unable to communicate
effectively his ideas.
If he had been a genius, he would have realized that the best medium
for his ideas was that of science fiction. For he was safe in any case:
If he was wrong, it could all be dismissed as entertainment, and if he
was right, his work would survive and be re-discovered and justified.
He could have been the 21st century's Jules Verne ...
The whole concept could have been titled "Archimedes Plutonium and the
Atom Totality Universe", which has a nice sci-fi ring to it. An
astronaut named Hansen is launched into space, where his rocket
encounters a gravitational anomaly, which sends him into an alternate
universe, whose laws are governed by the principles of Atom Totality.
Hansen finds himself unable to return to our universe, so he adapts to
his new home. He takes the name "Archimedes Plutonium", because
everyone in that society is a reincarnation of an ancient Greek, and
people take names of the elements. He has many adventures. He is
finally able to contact our universe, and relates his adventures via
radio to the book's author ... Ludwig Poehlmann.
Since Archimedes Plutonium had created a whole universe, the book could
turn into a series. It was surprising that he did not pursue this path,
especially since his autobiography reads like a motion-picture
screenplay.
Yes, I have read through part of that document-in-progress. (I am sure
I will be demonized in it, when he gets to writing about Usenet in
2005-2006.) Specifically, I wanted to see what his mathematical
background was. He claimed to have gotten a Bachelor of Arts degree in
mathematics, which seems like an unusual choice of degree. It seems
that he used to be a competant math major, but not much greater. His
posts in 2005-2006 indicate that he had forgotten most, if not all, of
this information. This includes inability of basic logic, things that
even computer programmers know. To make up for this, he held on to
fancy foreign phrases to make up for his lack of actual knowledge.
When he got to graduate school, he found himself unable to cope, and
when he tried to get hired as a math tutor, he had to do it in
Australia. (This seems strange, because when I started tutoring math, I
was in high school.) When he returned to the USA, he took a job as a
dishwasher at Princeton, solely so that he could get an Internet
connection. He made some insulting posts, and a professor or two
disappeared or was killed. He was one of the people questioned in the
case. (This is not a real eulogy, so I don't have to be nice about the
"deceased".)
Approaching an advanced age of 50, he realized that he had no concrete
contributions to anything. Since he was unable to contribute, he
decided to tear it down instead. The only way that Atom Totality can be
correct is if all science done in the past 500 years is incorrect.
Mathematics is reduced to what the world calls "Applied Mathematics".
Anyone who disagrees with him is automatically wrong, because he is a
genius, due to the Plutonium atom in the middle of his brain. He must
be a very bitter man, indeed.
I haven't read through the entire Atom Totality theory --- Archimedes
Plutonium may be the only person who can make that claim --- but based
on information exchanges with Archimedes Plutonium, it must be a very
dismal and dull place. The Discordian faith suggests that when he does
eventually physically die, he will spend his afterlife in .... an Atom
Totality universe.
Goodbye, crank.

P.S. Someone has rated this thread with 5 starts. I didn't do it,
because I don't know how to rate threads, and I'm sure that AP didn't,
so ... who did it?

I think it's a glitch in this new 'rating' feature - looking up at the
top of your post, it says 'not yet rated'. BTW I'm not sure I like
the idea of unattributed ratings - not knowing who rated you -
especially in what's meant to be a collegial interchange. If
someone dumps a one-star on you, it would be nice to have
a discussion about why.
Thanks for your contributions. You raised the tone of the
discussion immeasurably. Please DON'T delete your two
last infinitude of the primes/direct/indirect proofs. I want to
copy and save them!
Sorry to see you go. Well, you're not gone. You've just
moved over to other threads.
Thanks.

(1) I don't know how to delete posts. (2) Even if I did, I wouldn't
want to delete them.

Yes. I've (hopefully) broken free of AP. Now maybe I can get through a
day's worth of sci.math posts in half an hour again. 8-)

No 'hope' about it. Absolute certainty.
Later. Thanks.

Start by looking up "Usenet" on Google and learning that Usenet groups
are not the same as Yahoo groups.

One last comment. If AP is so smart and can immediately and correctly
prove any result which is presented to him, why does he not help
people, but only posts to threads that he starts and threads that
mention him?
Is he a fake, or is he just selfish?

Guys and gals, this is a serious message and has little to do with
physics. I need to contact Archimedes. for business reasons. I messed
up and am holding his old check that I forgot to cash. Does anyone
know how I could find him.
thanks.
