Firing the laser to stimulate an existing aurora correctly will make
the pumped laser!
Fire geometrically correct though. And here is the earth
shaking/moving geometry for earth lasing!
Drum roll please.......!
Answer: fire through the torus, any where.
A sensing of the cause of the aurora causes emission! hura hura!
And so quantum mechaincs is the answer. Finding the exact location to
fire the laser was required. And the fifty mile diameter torus is
located fifty thousand miles in
space!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So aim through the fifty thousand mile high torus with a good 1 Kw
lazer. and bam.
