From SDR:
General relativity describes perfectly the
way "universal gravitation" shapes the
universe... GR simply does not explain
exactly what "gravity" is (and that's
where I come in).
Pray tell then sir, what IS gravity and its cause?
Inquiring minds would like to know. oc
I'll not only tell inquiring minds, but I'll even tell
you too, Bill:
"A uniform gravitational field (like that near the Earth)
is equivalent to a uniform acceleration."
That is a basic postulate of the theory of General Relativity.
Now Einstein has told you what gravity is (he did do some work).
And, Bill, my text will explain to you how/why/where that
acceleration (which "is" gravity) comes from, "its cause."

Now you know (I assume you will have read the above).*

* This could be a foolish assumption, as I know you, Bill.
And I know how you like to lurk in the dark, you ole bat.
