I have been thinking about snaps, you know the things that button
clothes up, and tupperware. These things are designed with enough
flexibility to work but to much would result in failure. And they are
manufactured in large numbers cheaply. How are they designed and built
to work, to work reliably and to be manufactured cheaply. I know this
isn't sexy particle physics or solid state but it is physics and
someone has worked it out. Any pointers?
