geologists how you get all that flat-lying stratigraphy on the
continents.. And Plateaus to 8,000 metres (that were once ocean
floor). Ask them how you get that kind of uplift and everything
staying flat - or getting rubbed flat. How do you get that kind of
succession of erosion levels - that can be correlated globally.

has to show is how you get spontaneous shrinking at subduction zones.
