Cranks and crackpots abound in every quarter
of the world and in every forum. For the most
part they're simply ignored.
The primary problem in sci.* newsgroups is
sociopathy which wears many disguises, not
the least of which is an alleged anti-crank
thrust.
The crackpots and cranks are, for the most part,
harmless diversions. The psychotic sociopaths
aren't.
